The Shepparton Solar Battery Eligibility Guidelines include

the property already has solar PV panels with a capacity equal to or greater than 5kW
pre-approval is obtained from your Distributed Network Service Provider (DNSP) to safely connect a battery to the grid
the energy storage solution is listed on Solar Melbourne’s Approved Battery List and the property does not have an existing energy storage system
they are the owner-occupier of the property where the system is to be installed
the combined household taxable income of all owners is less than $180,000 a year (based on your Australian Tax Office Notice of Assessment)
it is an existing property, valued at under $3 million based on the current council rates notice
the property address has not previously taken part in the Solar Homes Program
the owner/s agrees to receive information from their Distribution Network Service Provider about taking part in battery trials to maximise the value households get from them.

Solar Battery Rebates for Small Businesses

The new Shepparton solar rebate program formally opens in May 2021 and is only offered to solar installations preceding May.

In 2022, rebates will cover up to $2950 of the net cost of a rooftop solar system for small businesses.

Am I eligible?

All employing businesses, excluding government organisations, are eligible for the Solar for Business rebates providing they meet the following eligibility criteria:

Be the owner of a business which has less than 50 employees
Operate from premises that are not considered residential
Operate from premises that are individually metered
Have your system installed by a Solar Melbourne approved solar retailer as detailed on Solar Melbourne’s website
Install a solar panel system with a PV capacity size up to a maximum of 30kW, as detailed on the Solar Melbourne approved product list

Here’s the eligibility criteria for the Discovery Energy VPP:

Inverter size should not be more than 10 kW
Battery size not lower than 2.5 kWh
No life support at the property (a compliance requirement)
Direct debit to be set up on the account
Credits can be encashed only 4 times a year provided each time the amount is more than $100
System to be connected to stable home wifi
Monthly billing & e-billing only
Inverter and battery to be from the approved eligible list of products
